Our trip to the zoo

Yesterday Room 1 visited Auckland Zoo. We were so excited to get on the big buses and set off for a busy day of exploring. 

We learnt about Alligators and Ringtail Lemurs. We got to visit their home in the zoo and then learnt some cool facts from Kirsty, our teacher at the zoo.

Learning Long Jump

Last week we started learning how to do long jump. We really love running as fast as we can then taking a giant leap into the giant sand pit! Our favourite part is falling into the sand! Check out our Athletics Day preparation:

Jigsaw Puzzle of Life

This term our inquiry focus is on the 'jigsaw puzzle of life'. We started our inquiry by looking at living and non-living things. This afternoon, we went outside and explored the school grounds in the gorgeous sunshine. We took photos of living and non-living things. 

When we got back to class we discussed the photos we had taken. Mrs Bovill then pulled together a few of the photos and made this poster. 

Taniwha's Quest - It's showtime

This week it was showtime!!! We did an amazing job doing our dance and being part of the production Taniwha's Quest. Check out our amazing costumes. A big thank you to all of our parent helpers.
